About the
Pademelon
The pademelon is a small, stocky marsupial native to Australia, closely related to wallabies but more compact in build. Most active at dawn and dusk, the Tasmanian pademelon, Thylogale billardierii, thrives in the cool temperate rainforests of Tasmania, including the wild Tarkine region. Shy, swift, and perfectly adapted to their environment, they are a quiet emblem of Tasmania's ancient wilderness.
