Really ‘taken’ with these shoes; not only do I love them on the trails they literally ‘take’ you where you want to go on all types of trail terrain and keep you stuck to any surface you chuck under them.
They keep you connected to the ground and the ergonomic shape of the upper keeps your foot nice and comfortable.

Most comfy runners I own. I love the wider toe box. Keep up the good work guys.

As a dedicated trail runner I try to avoid the road. Unfortunately with some races it’s unavoidable, so I purchased a pair of the Autopilot. So comfortable 10/10. no sore feet, even without a wider frontfoot (toebox design). I am interested to see how many kilometres they last with me running about 15-20km on the road with them each week.

I hope this review proves useful for potential buyers. These shoes are great and fun! I took a gamble and ordered a pair just two weeks before a 46k race in Spain, which featured over 2400m of elevation gain on technical terrain. I knew I would be testing the shoes' capabilities, especially since I was transitioning from my previous pair, the Skyfires 2.

With only a 10k test run in these shoes and my training being a bit off for the event, I decided to go for it. I’m pleased to report that the shoes performed very well across most of the terrain. However, I did notice a lack of foot protection against rocks; I kicked about eight of them during the race. Fortunately, thanks to the shoes' bounce and lightweight design, I crossed the finish line without any blisters or bruises! Note it took me over 6 hrs to finish so probs also stretching cushioning.

While the shoes did show some wear on the midsole due to rock abrasion, I can confidently say they are top-quality. At first glance, the materials may not feel "luxurious" to the touch, but these shoes are built to endure and can definitely take a beating.

The grip is also very good, although I experienced a bit of insecurity on wet rocks. However, that’s when we runners need to rely on good technique! I believe that in the future, Tarkine could improve the grip compound instead of moving straight to Vibram, which would likely increase the shoe's price. Additionally, if future models become repairable at a cobbler (similar to what Nnormal is doing), that could be a worthwhile trade-off.
I'm deffo looking forward to running more in these shoes and on to another race, but probably on a less technical terrain.

I’ve only been doing easy runs in them and slowly increasing the distance in them but I’ve really enjoyed the shoe. Great for recovery runs, feels like a much better and more stable version of the invincible.

Love the new Devils. More comfortable and faster then the old ones with springy soles. Hopefully they have the longevity.

These are the trail shoes I have been waiting for! Incredible grip, spacious, with generous toe box and width that easily accommodates my orthotics and still feels light and comfortable on my feet. All this AND a positive contribution to eco-friendly and sustainable values. Brilliant!

Autopilots are an amazing shoe, so comfortable and easy to wear. I absolutely love the re-run option, the pair I got were essentially new. I also appreciate the customer service as I had return due to sizing and the staff were so understanding. Super glad I found my pair and size.
