I was a bit afraid that I boiught the wrong size. Living in Switzerland and not being able to try these shoes prior to buying them was a bit of a risk, but I was pleasantly surprised. I straight away tried them on a 5k run and immediately noticed how comfortable they felt. So I decided to use them the next day on a marathon that was mostly on gravel, some concrete and a bit of forrest trail and I ran a new PB in them. I am already considering buying a second pair, half a size bigger, that I can wear during my backyard ultras and should remain comfortable, even when my feet swell up.

A Christmas Re-run with a difference
"Re run" usually denotes a repeat of something that has been done before. The Tarkine sale of its "Re-Run" Autopilot running shoe was a new experience for me.
Looking for a high-milage shoe to as part of a return to running after a knee-replacement, I was looking for shoes with a bit more cushioning. But, as the selection would be something of an experiment, I wanted to avoid the almost universal $200+ price of the typical every-day running shoe.
The Tarkine re-run range offered a discount of almost 40% on the pair that seemed to fit my needs.
The "demo" shoes arrived in an "as new" condition, and I could find no evidence that the shoes had been used before.
The shoes are a little heavier than I am used to, but they are very comfortable on easy runs of 15K+. I can understand why they are named "Autopilot."
