Excellent show with plenty of width. Extra comfortable.
Extremely comfortable and light weight running shoe, highly recommend to give them a try.
Re-run shoes arrived in perfect condition and so comfortable from the first wear I love them and have not worn any other runner since. Stoked!
Uses so far (approx 50k)
- 15k offroad on fire trail with sustained tempo
- Interval workout on the road
- Easy run with hill sprints
Things I liked:
The ride
- Not as cush as say a 35-40mm stack, and certainly not minimalist. The foam is not pillowy soft, neither is it on the firm side. Somehow this is a very comfortably cushioned ride with still a fair bit of groundfeel.
- Very versatile in terms of paces, probably aided in how light it feels on the feet. It feels great at easy paces, and equally so when picking up the pace to 10k pace or more.
- Also versatility when it comes to terrain. The rubber position gives good grip and protection on firetrails (as on the road) with hardly any slipping going uphill. It's only if I stepped directly on a pointy rock sticking up from the trail that I would have appreciated a more trail-specific shoe.
Comfort
- There is lots of toe room on these bad boys. My toes haven’t been this comfy since wearing Altras. I ended up having to end my Altra affair after calf pain and a partial achilles tear, so to again have a similar shape (and cushion feel) in a slightly bigger drop (6mm) is wonderful.
- The tongue and heel counter are soft and cushioned, and I could get a good lockdown without feeling any pressure or hotspots from the laces.
- Sizing spot on as per advice on website, to go up half a size. I'm normally 10.5, and the 11 is perfect.
Appearance
- I don't really care what my runners look like while running, but the white option can absolutely be paired with white socks and look great in a more casual setting.
- I like the addition of a lace garage in the tongue and I think this is a bit of a differentiator, especially for casual wear
Something that intrigued me:
- There's not as much of a rocker at the back as other big brand shoes, as in it doesn't curve up as much. As a result, I noticed feeling the outer heel brush the ground frequently when walking – however this is not noticeable when running, where the ground contact is more near the toes.
In summary, a well cushioned, versatile shoe with a roomy toe box, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Good shoe handled the Kepler tk with ease
So far so good, I found them very comfortable.
Men's Tarkine Autopilot – City to Surf Limited Edition
Fantastic
Look like new and are very comfortable
It's probably a little too early to be reviewing these shoes properly but the fit straight out of the box was incredible as the max cushioning. I purchased mainly as a lifestyle/walking shoe, but have taken them on a quick run and they are incredible. Very comfortable so far. I guess we will wait and see what they are like in 6 months.
Thank you for this access to Phil Gore’s favourite shoes. Smooth running with confidence
Styling to one side for a minute.
I just plod along at 4:45 to 7:00 and am 90kg +/-
My feet would probably prefer a 4e fit but these are okay for width.
I really like the ride. They are well made. Tongue could be just a smidge longer.
The ride is supple, not soggy.
Will buy again I’d say, not many kms on them yet.
The colours… takes all kinds I guess, will really test your fashion over function commitment, because they really function.
I love it!! So great for sunny days to keep the sun off with long runs.
Finally decided to give them a try and I am impressed. Great overall feel. The price through re-run can’t be beaten. Have already bought another pair!
Light and good air flow for cooling. New fav
